Biography

Mads Vestergaard researches political philosophy at the interdisciplinary Center for Information and Bubble Studies, University of Copenhagen (Denmark). His research focuses on political opinion formation, education and self-determination in the novel digitalized media environment, attention economy and post-factual society. He has co-authored (with Vincent F. Hendricks) the Danish book Fake News (2017), which has been published in German as Postfaktisch: Die neue Wirklichkeit in Zeiten von Bullshit, Fake News und Verschwörungstheorien (Blessing 2018). His latest book Reality Lost: Markets of Attention, Misinformation and Manipulation – together with Vincent F. Hendricks – is now also available as free open access version!
